Video sleeve

The 6th video in this widely acclaimed series brings to you the story of one of Britainís greatest maritime names. British India, one of the largest shipping Companyís in the British Merchant Navy, had over 400 ships serve with it during itís 109-year lifetime.

Their enormous network of passenger and cargo ships served even the smallest ports east of Suez. Shunning the spotlight so much sought after by the glamourous Atlantic liners, the Company provided special service aboard such classic ships as the Malda, Dunera, Rajula, Chantala, Waroonga, Nevasa, Kenya and Uganda.
